My name is Alexandra Hurley, I was born and raised in Fort McMurray. I am Metis and very proud of it! I started Red River Company back in December 2020. The name Red River originates through my ancestry and it is a big part of the Manitoba Metis Culture. Since a young age I was always fascinated with being an entrepreneur, I started Red River Company when I was 19 years old. I didn't know much about entrepreneurship but I knew I wanted to create something that could bring Aboriginal teachings and knowledge. I started the business by selling my logo on hoodies but as the business grew I got requests for custom embroidery orders along with Logos for other companies. Its truly rewarding to have come so far and have the support of Friends, Family, Customers and the Community. Without the support I would not be here today. I'm also very honored to have been nominated for Youth Entrepreneur in October of 2022.  I hope to inspire other young entrepreneurs through my journey. Always remember you are the only one in charge of your future, your goals and your mindset!
